What is Ayurveda & the Perfect Health Program?

Ayurveda, is a 5,000-year-old consciousness-based system of healing that originated in India.  The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayus meaning life, and veda meaning science.  Ayurveda, the wisdom of life, offers a proven guide for a life of happiness, vitality, love, and purpose.


From the Ayurvedic perspective, human beings are not viewed as mere thinking physical machines, but rather as fields of intelligence in dynamic exchange with the energy and information of the environment.  Health is a state of vibrant balance in which all the layers of one's life are integrated.  The Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle program provides the tools to enhance your physical and emotional well-being through your conscious choices, enlivening the nourishing connection between mind, body, and spirit.


Based on the global bestseller Perfect Health by Deepak Chopra, M.D., the Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle program teaches you to bring balance and healing into your life.  Learn a powerful regimen of Ayurvedic practices designed to balance the body and mind, enhance nutrition, reduce emotional turbulence, and re-awaken the senses.


In some form or another, we all seek Perfect Health - physically and emotionally.  Chopra Center co-founders David Simon, M.D. and Deepak Chopra, M.D. have designed a beautiful five-lesson course for achieving equilibrium of the mind and the body.  When our bodies and minds are in balance, we can make nourishing choices, achieve healing, and experience the change we seek.

Body, Mind, and Soul: The Multidimensional Nature of Life

We introduce you to the foundational principles of Ayurveda.  We provide an introduction to Meditation and Yoga.  Learn about the three primary doshas or mind-body constitutions:  Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.  Learn your dosha and how to recognize imbalances within your body as well as simple techniques to help restore balance in your life.

Nourishment for Body, Mind, and Soul

During this session, you will learn about the Six Tastes, Phytochemicals, and BITS (Body Intelligence Techniques).  Bringing a nutritional awareness in to your daily routine can result in a profound influence on improving your overall health and wellness.

Perpetual Renewal:  Detoxification, Purification, Rejuvenation

In this lesson You will learn how to:  Renew and rejuvenate yourself each day and throughout your life,  How the seasons correlate to Doshas and How to perform gentle rejuvenating practices to relieve stress and anxiety.

Emotional Freedom:  Intimacy with your Self

Every human being shares a fundamental desire to be happy.  In this session you will learn tools to practice conscious communication and the steps to help with emotional clearing.

The Five Gateways to the Inner Pharmacy:  Metabolizing Sensory Experience

In this session, you will learn the healing power of your five senses.  You'll learn to use sound, touch, sight/colors, taste, and smell/aromatherapy to balance and strengthen your body's inner pharmacy with specific tools to heal, nourish, and balance your mind-body.

  • This follow-up is designed to share how You are doing.  
  • To ensure balance in life and not overwhelm.
  • To review, answer questions, and help create a routine that works best for you.  

For groups or organizations, this can occur as a group and individual consultations may be scheduled as well.

To be scheduled approximately 3-4 weeks after completion of the program. 

(60-90 minutes)

Program Details

  • Each session includes:  PowerPoint Presentation with supporting materials, Chair Yoga (Mindful Movement), and Short Meditations
  • The course can be customized to an Individual or Group's requirements
  • All sessions are Live  and via Zoom or the corporation's preferred online platform
  • A 15-20 minute consultation is required prior to scheduling the course to ensure we align with your health & well-being goals

  • Payment of $250.00 will be due (or payment options defined) during the consultation
